About the manufacturer
Aldo Bernardi is one of Italy’s most renowned lighting designers and artisan manufacturers. Since the early 1970s, the workshop in Paderno del Grappa, Northern Italy, has been creating exceptional indoor and outdoor lighting that combines traditional craftsmanship with premium materials and timeless design.
Bernardi luminaires are distinguished by the enduring quality of ceramic, solid brass, and copper—materials chosen for their durability, even in outdoor environments. Hand-applied patinas, meticulously crafted details, and a distinctive design language define every collection. Alongside classical and early industrial influences, Bernardi’s work reflects the Mediterranean country-house style that is characteristic of its native region.
In recent years, the workshop has also introduced contemporary outdoor lighting collections that stand alongside its iconic, historically inspired designs. They embody the same uncompromising standards of material quality, genuine craftsmanship, and Italian design culture, remaining true to the philosophy that has guided the company from the beginning: only the very best is good enough.
The manufacturer also has a substantial range of handcrafted interior luminaires that can be found at Casa Lumi: Aldo Bernardi – Traditional Italian Lighting in Brass and Porcelain.
